Accessing a webpage’s HTML code is useful for developers, designers, and even curious users who want to understand how a site is structured. Whether you’re learning web development, debugging a page, or extracting specific content, viewing the raw HTML can provide valuable insights. The process is simple and can be done using built-in browser tools.
Most modern browsers include developer tools that allow you to inspect a webpage’s HTML. To access it, right-click on any part of the page and select "Inspect" or "Inspect Element." This will open a panel displaying the HTML structure, where you can navigate through elements and view their code.
Another way to see the HTML is by viewing the page source. Right-click on the page and select "View Page Source" (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+U
on Windows or Command+U
on Mac). This opens a new tab with the raw HTML code of the entire page.
If you want to save the HTML for offline use or further analysis, you can easily do so. After viewing the page source, copy the entire code (Ctrl+A
followed by Ctrl+C
), paste it into a text editor, and save it with an .html
extension. Alternatively, use the "Save As" option in your browser to download the complete webpage, including its resources.
